Two for one holiday special

Hello and Happy holidays to all my readers

I know I have been gone a while but I am here to reasure you that I am back and ready to present you with two holiday "gifts." Over these weeks I have finish two pieces one is a full page illustration for an editoral page for a interesting artical discribing the physical and mental affects the are created from lack of sleep. (Perfect for every hard working college student) What The second in a book cover for a fictional autobiography of a chossen historical figure. The person I chosse was Sarah Bernhardt, a famous actress from the early 1900's. I have always enjoyed acting and I thought this piece, which displays her famous silent film shot in a coffin and a skull from her star role as hamlet. That hamlet is still considered the best version of that play. All I have to do is give it text and I will be good to go.

Happy Halloween

Dear Readers

I hope you all have a happy halloween. You will be happy to know the progress on my latest peice is coming along well. With that in mind I decided to have a little extra fun this Halloween by joining my classmates creating my own mask based on my carnavail reading piece. It uses a basic maquece mask as the base and then I spry painted it with multipule layers of gold sparkale paint. Then I painted pink and red lips and checks. All these elements together make the mask less frightening and give off a joyly and exciting feel one would have at a fair or carnival. I also added a clown hat to add an extra smile.

The time for text is over

Dear readers

I am happy to report that I have finally completed a better version of the text project I have been working one. Now the word inside is more readable an has an image that better incorperates the meaning of the quote I am using better then the last piece. However, the bigger news is that a new project that is ment to be a poster to encourage young people to read. I am going to be using a curcuis as the them to make reading seem more fun. Wish me luck and keep me posted if you have any ideas and I will try and post my final design. For now here is an image of my final for the text project.

Text time is over ... or is it?

To all my reads

It is a plesure to be writting to you all agian. I have finished the text peice I have been working on over fall brake. However, I have come to find out that this peice was only a draft to a new one. Due to heavy flase in letter design and color I will have to start over but now that I have a ferm grasp on the situation my improvements can be made swiftly. It is fustrating though to find out that the design I had been working with in photoshop appeared fine but once painted it made less and less sense. The biggest problem was the readability of the word Inside. I would like to get your thoughts on weather or not you all can read it.

It is text time

Hello readers

Milly here, sorry to keep you waiting, it is mid terms and I have had several important test however now I am all done and ready to get back to doing what I do best, Illustration. The third project is a tricky one because we are using text as the subject and draw them not just as words but as an image that convaises the very words it is saying. I chose an interesting quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson who said "What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us." These two images are the sketches I chose between. I chose the red lettered one hoping the word inside would stand out dispite the other text in front of it. If you got any ideas on improvements let me know. Have a good weekend.

Dear Readers

Milly here. I am so glad i was able to fix my latest piece with a greater shad of darks and better color attention in different areas. I also presented a power point presontation on the the author and illustrator of one of my favorite childerens books as a kid, Ludwig Balemans who wrote Madline. My next project will be using text and will play with the use of extrime foregrounds and backgrounds by placing the letters in multipule layers in the text I choose. Hopfuly bring interest into a statement.
